Garden Designer

How it works

Five steps. About five minutes for a first pass.

  1. 1

    Tell us about your yard

A short wizard captures your climate (lat/lng โ†’ USDA hardiness zone), space type (back yard, balcony, courtyard), and whether you have pets or kids. Used to filter the plant catalogue and avoid hazards.

  2. 2

    Sketch your boundary

Trace the lot using the boundary tool, or pick a starter template (rectangle, L-shape, freeform). Real-world dimensions in feet/inches or metric. The area is computed automatically and shown on the toolbar.

  3. 3

Drag in objects โ€” or generate with AI

Drop products (raised beds, lights, edging, turf) and plants from the palette. Or hit โœจ Create with AI and the rule-based solver returns three full layouts you can pick from and keep editing.

  4. 4

Switch to iso view + check sun

Flip to isometric for a 3D-style preview with a time-of-day slider. Toggle the Sun simulator to see sun-hours-per-day as a heatmap, useful for placing the kitchen garden in the sunniest spot.

  5. 5

Export a PDF + buy your items

Open the Plan page for a printable plan with top-down map, isometric preview, and a shopping list. Each row has a "Buy" button that opens the merchant page in a new tab.
